The ZEUS™ Z1250 and Z2500 Power Packs are well-designed, highly evolved power supply packs designed to provide power and control for our ZEUS™ flash heads.
Not to be confused for a battery pack, the ZEUS™ power packs take the controls usually found on the flash units, and places them on our power packs for easy, hassle-free control of the ZEUS™ flash heads.
With two flash head outlets the power packs offer asymmetrical power distribution switching (1:1 or 3:1) with stepless flashpower output adjustment over a full 5 f-stop range (from full to 1/32 power). The user-friendly design includes the ZEUS™ power pack control panel where each flash head connects and where all flashpower output and modeling lamp adjustments are collectively made.
As the power packs have standard 105 - 125 Vac, 50/60 Hz power requirements, our 15-foot power cord is provided with each pack. Direct camera connection is accomplished with the provided sync cord, while each pack offers a built-in slave tripper for wireless firing as well. For remotely controlling the firing, flashpower adjustment and / or modeling lamp settings, the power packs are compatible with our full line of remote controls, having a standard Paul C. Buff, Inc.™ remote control input jack.
The heavy-duty, durable design includes a high impact strength ABS housing, making the packs lightweight while the wide, rounded handle allows the units to be carried comfortably for travel and location work.

As the ZRM1 RingMaster, Z2500SH Standard Flash Head and Z2500BTH Bi-Tube Flash Head require either a Z1250 or Z2500 power pack for use, each head arrives with the 12-foot ZEUS™ Power Pack Cable hardwired to the back panel. The power pack cable connects the flash head to the power pack, mechanically locking into either the A or B power cable socket on the Z1250 / Z2500.
Understanding the Power Pack / Flash Head System:
The ZEUS™ Power Packs have standard 105 - 125 Vac, 50/60 Hz power requirements, each arriving with a 15-foot power cord for connection. This power is converted into high voltages, stored in the power pack' s internal capacitors. The packs provide the control to discharge the energy into flashtubes contained in the lamp heads (ZEUS™ Ringmaster, Standard Head or Bi-Tube head). In monolights, such as the AlienBees™ and White Lightning™ standard flash units, the power pack and lamp head are self-contained in a single unit at lower power levels. With the ZEUS™ system, one or two flash heads are connected to the power pack and the power distribution and flashpower output is controlled on the power pack.
The ZEUS™ Power Pack Easy Upgrade Policy:
Within two years of your purchase date, we will upgrade any ZEUS™ Z1250 Power Pack (1250 Ws) to a ZEUS™ Z2500 Power Pack (2500 Ws) for a charge of $50 plus the price difference between the two models ($200). This upgrade fee will also cover any factory warranty service that might be needed. The normal turnaround time for upgrades is 2 to 4 business days from the receipt of your unit and payment arrangement. Shipping the power pack to and from our office for this upgrade will be the responsibility of the customer.
